I was very exited to collect the keys late last week to the newly refurbished room which is now home to Attic Batik in the heart of Belper. It’s been great to be part of the planning for the room(s) and seeing the building undergo the transformation from the old and run down ‘White Swan’ public house to probably some of the nicest workspaces in town! 🙂
Over the past week I have been equipping the workshop and generally moving in whilst awaiting the furniture. The space has a warm sunny aspect overlooking the Market Place and is ultra modern, simple and (for now….) clean. It’s a lovely place to simply be and spend time, and I’m really looking forward to creating with you in here.
There’s still work to do and preparations to make but I’m guessing it will be a moving target as things progress. Classes are being developed and will feature on the Courses page when we’re up and running. Watch this space and I look forward to batiking with you!
